How Compifi handles information on this website and in the platform. Written in plain language, because a policy nobody can read isn't a policy.
We collect very little on this website. If you book a walkthrough or contact us, we keep what you send so we can reply. We use one analytics tool to understand which pages people visit. We don't sell your information to anyone, and we don't run advertising on this site.
Compensation data belonging to our clients is handled under a separate agreement, and is described in its own section below.
If you email us, book a walkthrough, or register for a session, we receive what you choose to provide — typically your name, email address, company, and anything you write in a message. We use it to respond and to keep a record of the conversation. We do not add anyone to a marketing list for booking a walkthrough.
Like most websites, our hosting provider records standard request information such as IP address, browser type, and the pages requested. We use a conversion measurement pixel provided by OpenAI to understand whether people who find us through advertising go on to visit the site. This tells us which pages were visited; it does not tell us who you are by name.
Walkthroughs and live sessions are run through Zoom. When you book or register, Zoom collects your registration details and handles the confirmations, reminders, and any recording. That information is governed by Zoom's own privacy policy in addition to ours. We receive the registration details and store them in our customer records so we know who we're talking to.
If a session is recorded, the recording may capture your name and anything you say or type in chat or Q&A. Attendance is optional, and you can register and watch the recording instead if you'd rather not appear.
This is the part that matters most, so it is worth being specific.
When a client uses the Compifi platform, they provide employee compensation data — typically job titles, pay, tenure, location, and organizational structure. That data belongs to the client. We process it only to provide the service they've contracted for, under the terms of our customer agreement and data processing addendum.
Market benchmark data shown in the platform is licensed from a third-party compensation data provider and is separate from any client's own data.
We use a small number of service providers to run the business — for hosting, email, scheduling, customer records, and payments. They have access only to what they need to perform their function, and only to do it on our behalf.
We may disclose information if required by law, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets — in which case we'd give notice before your information became subject to a different privacy policy.
We keep business correspondence and customer records for as long as the relationship is active and for a reasonable period afterward for legal and accounting purposes. Client compensation data is retained per the customer agreement and deleted or returned on request at the end of an engagement.
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@compifi.ai and we'll respond within a reasonable period.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act or the GDPR. We'll honor those requests regardless of where you're located — it's simpler than keeping two standards.
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies, and you can usually opt out of conversion measurement through the provider's own controls.
We use industry-standard measures to protect information, including encryption in transit and access controls on systems that hold client data. No system is perfectly secure, and we won't claim otherwise. If a breach affected your information, we'd tell you.
This site and the Compifi platform are intended for business use. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top. If the change is significant, we'll say so clearly rather than hoping nobody notices.
